WARRANTY & MAINTENANCE SERVICE:  The warranty period of the system is for the duration of time set forth by the manufacturer, from the date of purchase. Additional years of maintenance can be purchased at the signing of contract.  Otherwise, a maintenance contract can be purchased following the warranty period at the prevailing rate. Equipment added to the system during this period will have a warranty duration set forth by the manufacturer. Upon expiration of the manufacturer’s warranty, the equipment list will be updated to incorporate the additional material and could result in an increase in the maintenance fee.   The Warranty/Maintenance will cover any defects in material or workmanship in accordance with the manufacturer’s specifications. If the equipment fails do to the above, Seller will replace or repair defective parts and provide the labor, shipping and handling charges of the failed components. Defects in software, unless covered under manufacturer warranty, are not covered. Maintenance does not cover the repair or replacement of Battery Backup Systems, which will be covered under a separate manufacturer’s warranty.  Warranty/Maintenance will not cover any damages, defects or malfunctions or service failures which are caused by the environmental conditions of the room, modifications or repairs performed by personnel other than Seller or its authorized agents unless approved by Seller, misuse, mis-handling, neglect, improper storage, improper servicing or improper operation of the system, fire, flood, lightning or other acts of god, acts of war or terrorism, or similar events. If the Buyer requests Seller to complete repairs during the warranty/maintenance period necessitated by excluded causes outlined above, Seller will charge its standard Time and Material rate together with shipping and handling charges related to performing such repairs. Seller makes no warranties expressed or implied including any warranties of merchant ability of fitness for a particular purpose.  Seller’s sole responsibility of warranty/maintenance will be for equipment only and will not be responsible for any result of the equipment not functioning.  

 

RETURNS/RESTOCKING FEE/RMA: In the event the Buyer cancels a sales agreement after the equipment has been ordered from manufacturer, and/or labor has been expended, that portion of the cancelled order will be subject to a restocking and handling charge for the equipment and labor.  Buyer must contact Black Box Customer Service to obtain an RMA (Return Material Authorization) number in order for a proper credit to be issued.  Parts must be new, unused and in the original packing.  Items received without an RMA # will cause a delay in the credit process.
